Event count mode settings

Event count mode settings

The purpose of this feature is to allow events to be displayed as a cumulative number, rather than separate events. Imagine you have an event that is triggered many times over a short period of time. This event will fill up the event log. If you are subscribed to receive e-mails for the event, you might be receiving a lot e-mails, which is not desirable. The event count mode allows you to choose to display an event only once, but now including a count of how many times the event has occurred.
You can decide how often you receive this counted event (update). You can choose how quick an event has be converted into counted mode (Enable). You can also choose how long it may take before it is converted back into a regular event (Disable). When enabling this feature, the switching between a "regular" event and a "counted" event happens automatically, based on the configured parameters.  The units for all the before mentioned parameters are in minutes.

  1. Enable: Activate 'Event count mode' if an event occurs more than once within the inserted amount of minutes.
    1. E.g. inserted value is 10 minutes.
      1. When an event happens twice within 10 minutes, the mode for this event will change into 'count mode'.
  2. Disable: Deactivate the 'Event count mode' if the event has not occurred within the inserted amount of minutes.
    1. E.g. inserted value is 10 minutes.
      1. When an event does not occur within 10 minutes, the mode for this event will revert back to 'regular mode'.
  3. Update: Generate the 'counted event' for every amount of minutes inserted.
    1. E.g. inserted value is 10 minutes.
      1. An event will be generated every 10 minutes, displayed the cumulative value of how many times that event has occurred, in those 10 minutes.
