Airtag Health Page Introduction:
The purpose of this article is to serve as an all-inclusive resource for understanding the features and information that are available through the Airmatics dashboard, specifically the 'Health' page. Each part of this article will cover one of the five sections in the image below:
Dashboard Basics:
- Tiles & data visualization
- The Health page is sectioned into four tiles (Status, Pressure, Temperature, and Events) which display key information about your compressor.
- Clicking any of these tiles will open a graphing window which displays historical measurement data for each parameter.
- Gauges & Dials
- Data on the dashboard is displayed in the form of gauges like the pressure gauge shown below.
- What are the dashes?
- If you have alert thresholds enabled for a certain parameter, dashes will be added to each gauge which indicate the high or low thresholds.
- When the measured value crosses one of these thresholds an event will be triggered in the 'Events' page.
- For more information on setting up the thresholds refer to this article, how can I adjust my alert settings?
1. Icons & Menus
At the top of the dashboard screen are four menus:
This article will focus on the 'Health' page but you can find more information on the other pages here,
- Performance - (link to article)
- Custom - Custom Graphs
- Events - (link to article)
Device Information button:
| In the top right corner of the dashboard is the "Device Information" button. This will open a pop-up screen with vital information about your device as seen below.
|
- One of the key uses for this menu is the "Last measurement received" which will tell you if your device is offline and when this happened.
- If you're device is offline, the 'device information' icon will instead appear in red
- Refer to this article for troubleshooting tips if your Airtag is offline.
Device Settings:
| To edit settings such as name, location, performance data, alarms etc. navigate to the "Device Settings" in the top right corner of the dashboard. |
Return to tenant device overview:
| To go back to the list of devices in your tenant, select the tenant name icon found in the top left of the dashboard. |
2. Compressor Status:
There are three ways to monitor the status of a compressor:
- Calculation
- By default, an Airtag can monitor compressor status based on calculations from the kW reading.
- Note that this can only be done if the performance data has been entered in the device settings. To see how this is done refer to this article, how can I adjust the performance of my compressor
- Digital Inputs
- An Airtag comes equipped with 4 digital inputs that can be used to monitor compressor status. These will be Ready, Running, Load, and Alarm.
- Not all devices will come programmed to monitor the compressor status through the digital inputs. If you don't think the digital inputs are enabled on your device simply submit a ticket and the -Tag can be reconfigured remotely.
- Modbus Data-link
- Some compressor controllers are able to communicate with the -Tag via a Modbus data-link. Refer to this article for a list of compressor controllers that the Airtag can establish a data-link with.
How is the % being counted
- need to add
Today vs Total
- In the status window you can alternate between status 'Today' and status 'Total'
- The 'Total' status will show how long the compressor has spent in each running stat over it's lifetime
- On this screen you can also monitor the service timers of the compressor. Which can be set up according to this article, how can I adjust my service timers
3. Pressure:
How can I establish the pressures?
- There are two primary ways to monitor pressure on a -Tag which can further be broken down into three possibilities. For a comprehensive explanation refer to page 6 of the Airtag Installation Guide
- Via analog inputs
- Dedicated pressure sensor
- Copying pressure signal from the asset controller
- Via data-link
- Modbus communication link with compatible controllers
How is differential pressure derived?
- A -Tag is designed to monitor only two pressure signals, typically the outlet pressure and the internal pressure.
- The differential pressure will automatically be calculated by subtracting the outlet pressure from the internal pressure
What can I do when a pressure is not being displayed properly?
- When monitored via analog input you should first refer to these articles for troubleshooting a 4-20mA or Voltage type sensor.
- When monitored via data-link
- Ensure that a working connection has been made between the asset controller and the -Tag by following the steps in this article, no data communication with asset controller.
- If communication is established and the pressure is still missing then submit a ticket. Be prepared to provide a list of available Modbus registers for your controller type if requested.
Copy-pasted from old article:
- Differential Pressure is only calculated when a load status exists?
- Check load / no-load compressor status
4. Temperature:
How can I establish temperatures?
- There are three temperature measurements monitored by an Airtag
- Outlet Temperature
- Can be monitored via PT1000 temperature sensor or via Modbus data-link with asset controller
- Motor Casing Temperature
- Always monitored via PT1000 temperature sensor
- Ambient Temperature
- Always monitored via PT1000 temperature sensor
- Refer to this article if there is no temperature sensor reading on your device
5. Events:
Any active alarms or shutdowns are displayed in the 'Events' section of the health page. Shutdowns are indicated by a red icon and alarms/warnings are indicated by an orange icon.
To manually clear an active event, pressing the checkmark icon next to the event description will open the menu below:
A reason must be provided in order to clear the event, then press "Resolve"
